Benjamin Everett Caudill

Everett Caudill (1877-1939) married Lillie Swift.  He is father of Louise Caudill.

Samuel Joseph Watson

Samuel Joseph Watson was born November 3, 1869.  He was first married to Lillie Peters ( ?-Jul. 18, 1898).  They had three children.  Vedder Watson, Anna Dayton Elizabeth Watson (1894-1090), and Everett J. Watson (1897-1898).  His wife died a five years after their baby.  Twelve years later he married Rosa Belle Lowrie (1885-1963).  They had seven children: John James Watson (1911-1966), Virgil Dexter Watson (1913-1949), Stuart Lansing Watson (1915-?)(He was alive in 1983), Herbert Hoover Watson (1918-1940), Clifford Joseph Watson (1921-? He was alive in 1986), Austin Ray Watson (1924-? He was alive in 1986), Thomas Freeman Watson (1927-? He was alive in 1986).

Samuel died Nov 2, 1930.

Frank Forest Monroe

Husband of Dorothy L Phillips.  Born July 12, 1883.  Lived in Knox County, Ohio when he registered for the draft.  Father of Carroll F Monroe (1910-19??) (male) and Lauretta Guillet (1913-1963).

Edward Henry Guillet

The fourth child and third son of Alexandre and Adelaide Guillet was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 25, 1874.  The family moved to Cleveland, Ohio about 1890 where he graduated from Central High School.  He was musically inclined playing drums in several bands and joining his brother Victor in string ensembles.  his son Ross recalls Edward played to entertain the family and he took much pleasure in listening to classical and opera music on his Victorola.  He enjoyed baseball.

He entered the laundry business in Columbus, Ohio and continued for many years.  He became a partner in Penn Sanitary Laundry in Cleveland.  The company endured through the stock market crash of 1929.

He married Mary Louise Green on October 10, 1895.  Their mutual interest in music brought them together.  They had four children: Adelaide, Stanley, Ross (1910) and Mary Lou.  His wife died in 1919 and Edward cared for the 2 younger children with the help of housekeepers until 1931 when the youngest finished high school.  He remarried Kathleen Fitzgerald in 1933.

he died of natural causes on October 1, 1946.

George Herbert Potts

George Herbert Potts was born July 31, 1878 in  Manchester, England (a less reliable account states he was born in Yorkshire).  His parents were Edward Potts and Sarah Ackroyd.  George studied Civil Engineering at Cambridge University in England. George was married Dec 26, 1903 in Bolton, Lancashire, England to Mary Yates  They had one child, Lucy Yates Potts.  George left Mary.  He came to the United States by way of Canada.

While working as an engineer on a crane explaining what needed to be done, he fell.  He was badly injured and was hospitalized.  While in the hospital he met Lydia Stone Hoyt.  They were married.  Berry Vernon, son of Lucy Yates, records the date of George's marriage to Lydia as May 3, 1909.  George and Lydia's daughter in law, Wilda, told me the marriage was not legal and writes that George was not a US citizen ans that it caused Lydia to need to be "repatriated in October 1943 in Toledo, Ohio."

They had four children:  Herbert Jay Potts born in Denver, Colorado Aug 19 1910,  Ada Margaret Kinsella (Potts) born in Cleveland, OH August 10 1906, Elsa Wallace Florian (Potts) born Sep 6, 1913.  and Wallace Potts Hoyt (Hoyt Potts) born in Norwalk, Ohio March 17, 1917.

George died of Tuberculosis July 4, 1942 in Green Springs, Ohio.

W. Frank McCallister 1890 - 1981

My great grandfather (Grampy Mac) Frank McCallister (Born William Frank Ferguson) was the son of Melvina Peters and William Ferguson.   He was their fourth son. He was born October 4, 1890 in Ohio.  Older brothers Roy and Claude and younger brother Charles.  His mother died giving birth to a girl.  Melvina's sister, Ida Mae (Peters) McCallister,  and her husband, Delman McCallister took in Frank to raise.  Though he changed his name to McCallister, he was never legally adopted.  His brothers never forgave him for changing his name.
Frank taught school.  Later he moved to Flint, Michigan where he worked at Buick #4 and met Bernice Roach.  They were married June 14, 1916.
Frank tried to start  Cosmetics Company in Flint under the name of Puritas Labs.
Frank and Delman went into farming and bought farms in partnership totally 220 acres.
Frank had his first daughter Wilda March 13, 1913. Twelve years on June 28th they had their second child, Joyce.  Both daughters were born at home.
They sold the farm in 1967 and moved to a place on Hugo Street in Maumee, Ohio.   In 1976 they moved to Ashland, Ohio with Wilda and her husband.  A year later they moved to a house in Lexington, Kentucky purchased by Joyce.
Frank died January 20, 1981 at the age of 91.
I remember visiting with him in the 70's.  Mostly I rememeber him sitting in his arm chair eating from a bowl of candy.
